This quote has popped up a few times the last few weeks. It's written on the blackboard at the yoga studio I attend and usually the blackboard quotes are changed quiet often, however this quote has been there the past 3 times I've visited. Call it coincidence or perhaps just someone forgetting to change the board but I'm taking it as a sign to find the extraordinary in the ordinary. It's funny because this is exactly what I noticed I struggled with when I started my teacher training. It was the first thing I identified about myself. I can see the gaps are becoming much greater when the feelings of 'not enough' arise. I'm experiencing less of the 'not enough' feelings and more of the 'How did I get so lucky' ones. Usually followed by some 'I'm so grateful' tears 😭 haha 🙊

Q. What is your biggest insecurity?
That my brain will never funcion as well as it did before the burnout. I still keep forgetting a lot of words, things, names, everything. Maybe it's because of lack of use, or because I had 2 concussions and a burnout and now it's just damaged..

Day 1 of #ExhaleAndFold#ragdollpose Time to get back into the swing of things. I feel like my life was crazy last week with it being my daughters birthday, my parents visiting, and my bathroom being remodeled. Which are all amazing things to be happening, but a little chaotic when all happening at the same time. Q. What fear would you like to overcome? The fear that I'm never good enough.. The comment above says enough. I'm participating in this challenge and really enjoying it, which should be good enough. Announcing August’s challenge #DontCallMeBaby : I felt it was due a #yogachallenge where we could work, for almost a month, on the ‘baby’ versions of arm balances as well as Forearmstand. Whether you want to acquire more strength, learn new variants to arm balances and inversions, you have wrist issues, mental blockages or fears of falling, the idea is that, by the end of it, you’ll have developed and outgrown some/all of those issues, you’ll feel stronger, more confident, bendier, wiser and you’ll have a bigger database of poses to practice (or teach) so you can access them as needed. If you’ve ever done a ‘baby’ #armbalance you probably know there’s nothing ‘simpler’ about it, often times, it requires more flexibility, core engagement or upper body strength, but you're also closer to the ground so it puts the mind at ease and helps us develop the confidence necessary to dare to think ‘we CAN’. You don't have to make massive change in order to change your future. If you steer yourself one degree to the left or right, in a year, five years or ten, you will be in a completely different place from where you would be if you kept going straight. Think about that for a second. We can completely change our lives with these little shifts.
If you are on the right path, that's so amazing. Keep it going. Otherwise stop and reset, take a moment. I want to courageously fulfill my dreams and blow my own mind with what I can accomplish. I strongly encourage you to do the same!

Instagram is full of gorgeous yoga pictures of beautiful people in perfect asanas posing in front of world wonders and perfect tropical beaches.
But I find there are few accounts that truly keep it real, authentic and genuine as they share their yoga journeys online. So I wanted to share a few of mine over the next few days.
Shes a Croatia based studio owner and teacher whose blog I've been following for a while. She runs retreats and hosts amazing workshops in her Zagreb studio with the likes of @davidrobsonayct & @kinoyoga and I've had her studio on my travel wish list for years now. With each of our Croatia visits we always seem to jet through Zagreb to get to Split without stopping long enough to squeeze in a visit, but this winter I'll be heading to her studio to finally take a class or two!! Thank you @ninavukas.yoga for keeping it real and taking us along on your amazing life of adventure. 🙏🙏
In my heart lies a beautiful sanctuary of peace and love. It is vast and expansive and knows no limitations. Sometimes when I have not entered it for a while I lose my sight and cannot find the gate to my sanctuary. In these moments of blindness I often start searching in the wrong places. Sometimes I find myself looking out into the external world but what I’m looking for is not out there.
It is within me.
The key to my sanctuary lies solely in my breath, when I trust in my breath I can always manage to find my way home.
