"Joy is seeing the water, happiness is drinking it." Everything has a season and timing is everything. As I hike I notice the seeded grasses and spent blooms and wonder what I missed. Each year is different up high as to when you catch the blooms as spring summer fall and even winter all coexist, especially around a snowfield. Where the snow melts and recedes in a hot sun will show a tier of fresh mud and newly sprouted spring flowers. And the further away from its coolness the micro climate leads all the way into summer and into a distant fall of deepened red and purple leaves of plants living quickly and joyously before conserving themselves for snows which come anytime of the year. I am greedy in that I want to sit for six weeks in the same spot and time lapse it into my memory. Mother nature's garden, her fields and hanging baskets and the way she waters with wind and clouds. #houseofsky#montanamoment#glaciernationalpark#gnp#fireweed#mountainmeadows#wildflowers
