Gian Arjan is headed to the Ashram next week, but not before one last Gong Journey Friday night at 730pm!
This gong journey, The Sound of Serenity, comes with such divine timing. It's loud in the world these days. People feel sped up and spread out. This is your opportunity to slow everything down and experience the stillness and silence within. Tune into tranquility with sacred mantras before being guided to a place of deep internal peace and relaxation by the serene soundscapes of multiple healing gongs. Deepen your connection to your inner self, and gently dissolve perceptions of physical and emotional pain. You'll come out of this journey feeling rested, refreshed, revitalized, and steady.

After watching a documentary on the Edwardian age, I realised we don't appreciate curly hair these days like we used to ✨Women would risk hairloss and burnt locks just to have curly hair 😱 I used to straighten my hair a lot when I was younger, and wish it was straight, but now I'm so grateful for my unique curly hair ✨Show your natural hair some love, it's what the Guru gave you 👩🏼💗 #LoveYourCurls
Throughout history Sikhs have always fought for freedom!! During both world wars 83003 Sikhs died and 135000 were wounded! By the time WW1 had begun there were over 100,000 Sikhs in the British Indian army! Before 1945, Sikhs had been awarded 14 Victoria crosses; a record given the size of the Sikh Regiments! Even Winston Churchill made a speech in Parliament about the bravery of Sikhs, he said "The British people are highly indebted and obliged to the Sikhs for a long time." Throughout history Sikhs have been skilled warriors that have fought for justice!! #warriors#battle#sikhwarrior#sikh#legend#sikhi#sikhsinworldwars#ww1#ww2history#waheguru#bravery#sacrifice
Sikhism survived despite government after government trying to shut us down. Luckily, you don't have to sacrifice your life today, but you must work equally as hard to make a good environment for our Sikh and Punjabi youth. The end of history never comes, we must continue on every day...

A history lesson today.
The beginnings of Yoga, the pre-classical period, were developed in Northern India over 5,000 years ago. The word yoga was first mentioned in the oldest sacred texts the Rig Veda. The Vedas were a collection of texts containing songs, mantras and rituals to be used by Brahmans, the Vedic priests.
In the 2nd Century, Patanjali who is called the Father of modern yoga wrote the Yoga sûtras, the first systematic presentation of yoga.
A few centuries after Patanjali, yoga masters created a system of practices designed to rejuvenate the body and prolong life.
No matter how you have come to know about yoga or what style you practice, it’s so integral to know the history.
Seek to first understand then to be understood. Wahe guru.

"Conscious Communication is called Turiya- when you are totally effective, totally understoodnd totally truthful."
Join Nirmaljeet on Saturday 8/12 and Saturday 9/16 from 2-4pm for Conscious Communication Meditation. $20 for each class.
Open to Teachers and Students! This is a nice preview to Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Level 2 Conscious Communuication but it is not exclusive to just current teachers and teacher trainees.
In Kundalini Yoga, communication is everything. We create our world through communication. We manifest our spirit through communication. We can destroy ourselves or someone we love with incorrect communication. So the science of communication is very thoroughly studied, and of the upmost importance.
Join Nirmajeet Kaur for a 2 hour workshop to learn about conscious communication through the teachings of Yogi Bhajan. This workshop will include an intermediate level meditation experience including a Yogi Bhajan video lecture.
Sheila (Nirmaljeet Kaur) enjoys teaching all levels of students, from first-time beginners to practitioners with years (or decades) of experience. Her classes emphasize the Kundalini Yoga basics of breathing and postures that serve to ground students in a strong foundation for their practice. Featuring a wonderful range of eclectic music such as Eastern, Chill out, World and a plethora of non-traditional music (Louis Prima, anyone?), you can learn in a comfortable, fun, and stress-free environment. Her classes work to bring passion, joy, enthusiasm, and humor into your life.
