It was time for a smoothie bowl again this morning. I am still making my way through all the Harry Potter books and I am absolutely loving reading again. I haven't been into reading for far, far to long and I am so glad I picked up the books again this year. Today I am going out with a friend to visit a little town outside Hobart and I am so excited to be outside again today. I feel so much happier when I can spend time outside ⛅️
Can we talk about this?!?! _______________________________________________________________

Day One. We saw and stopped thirteen trucks at the slaughterhouse today. Each one had thousands of chickens and so many dead on arrivals... By mid afternoon we were heartbroken, silently praying for the onslaught to stop. But it didn't. So we didn't.
But our presence has an impact - we received many honks and thumbs up from the locals and several times had members of the public watching us and inadvertently bearing witness on their lunch breaks or while waiting for the bus. AIP Banana Muffins (paleo, vegan)
These delicious AIP banana muffins are fluffy and soft and they rise and cook through and everything! Plus there’s no gelatin involved, so they’re vegan too!
1/4 cup coconut oil (solid, not melted)
1/3 cup coconut cream
1/3 cup plantain flour
1/4 cup coconut flour (I only recommend Anthony's and Bob's)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Preheat the oven to 350° F and grease a muffin pan. Mash the bananas with the coconut oil and coconut cream. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Scoop into 5 muffin cups.
Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool and enjoy.

Here is a wide grip row with the champ himself - @nathandoddshealthfitness
A properly preformed wide grip row will focus more on the upper back and include more of the mid trap and rhomboid. It of course works the latissimus dorsi as well, but incorporates other muscles to a larger degree than the narrow grip row.
Wide grip rows are opposite of a bench press. The bar is pulled to the upper abdominal area, similar to where a proper bench press bar is lowered. Because of this similarity in where the movement takes place the wide grip row is great at preventing muscle imbalances. For those individuals who do a lot of bench pressing, wide grip rows will help stabilise the body so that the chest does not overcome the back muscles in strength. When the chest is stronger than the back, shoulders roll forward and posture becomes hunched and compensated.
Proper wide-grip rows will not overuse the shoulders. Do not lift your shoulders when doing a row. A wide-grip row is different from a face pull. The focus should be on the back muscles. Using too much of the shoulders can cause injury. This is why the bar is only pulled to the upper trunk, and not all the way up to the shoulders or higher. Think of doing a bench press backwards. Finally, be aware that because the wide-grip row uses less lats, you will probably be able to move less weight than a narrow-grip row.
Happy lifting and maintain the focus 💡 All about dem' Vegainz 💪🏼🐨🌿
Today, I made the special for the restaurant I work at. It sold out! I'm pretty proud of myself. 😎 Lex's Buddha Bowl: California sprouted rice, pecans, soy sauce and brown sugar marinated carrots, chopped kale with sesame seeds, wontons, peanuts, and a Chinese peanut dressing, and a tarragon, garlic, and coriander quinoa and garbanzo bean salad. I did that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Thanks to my mentors for showing me some things in the kitchen. @chef_henry_2nd @frank.avillatgchef
Looooove these two @tryabouttime proteins! One is a Vegan protein brownie mix and the other a regular Vegan protein. I wanted to use these for a little while before I posted about them and they truly are 2 of my favorites. I use a lot more powder protein to hit my protein macros since switching more to Vegan. Makes it so much easier.
The protein blends great with not a horrible "planty" type taste that most plant-based proteins have. Not whey so of course it's going to taste a little different if you're not used to it but it really is delicious. Even if you aren't Vegan if you have a sensitive stomach to regular Whey (I always did) you should try this out! It is a pea, brown rice, and pumpkin protein mix.
And the brownies are to die for!!! I put peanut butter on top of mine. So freaking good!

My last first day of undergrad is finally over!! To celebrate I made this vegan sausage pizza 😻 the base is a whole wheat pita, vegan mozzarella cheese, vegan sausage, and a couple leaves of spinach! I also dipped some of my pizza in vegan ranch 👅 all together the whole pizza (along with 1 tbsp of the vegan ranch) is only 490 calories! Super quick and easy weeknight meal! #vegan#pizza#veganrecipes#veganfood#veganism#veganfoodshare#veganfoodie
On Saturday night we rescued 7 game hens who were being raised for slaughter. They were bred by a cockfighting breeder, who didn't want them because they were female. He sold them to someone who intended to eat them. The woman who bought them kept them in a tiny, filthy cage. Luckily, a couple activists were able to get them out and now they are here at the sanctuary, safe and sound ❤

We went into the bush foraging and mama nature blessed us with passion fruits! Foraging for free food is becoming one of my favourite hobbies! They tasted delicious.
