Despite not having the camera or equipment to capture the eclipse, I wanted to experience every moment. And I did. It was like having "golden hour" in the morning. It was eerily calm and quiet. In the end, it wasn't about getting the picture, it was about feeling the moment.
I love the unexpected discovery. The spontaneous plans made, then changed again when a new road piqued your interest, and is followed, and takes you to a place hitherto undiscovered by you. Never ever stop exploring, never ever stop discovering, always find out what is beyond that next corner, and treasure will be yours. #vanisle#explorebc#pnw#vancouverisland#dogdaysofsummer
Solar Eclipse at 10:34 am in Nanaimo. I managed to get a few usable shots that lent themselves more to artistic and abstract approaches. It was a cool experience to watch from beginning to end...no direct sun gazing of course.
this is not a photo of the solar eclipse (obvs) but when watching it earlier today it gave me a feeling of being so small in such a big, beautiful, magnetic and majestic world (and solar system) 🌠 just like this moment when I captured the mountains, the setting sky & the moon 🌙 what a whimsical sight we get to glance up to each night, that feeling of being connected ~
