Tonight, @rei featured one of my photos from this series of @este_____ from our weekend of car camping in @sequoiakingsnps 😊 Thought I'd share a few more photos of my beautiful best friend and my baby (my adventure mobile). I noticed a lot of people asked what kind of car this is- it's a 2016 Grand Touring Mazda CX-5. It's been an amazing mid size suv for those quick 2 person getaways and has been everywhere from surf trips in San Onofre to snowboarding trips in Mammoth. My car is an extension of who I am and it has taken me on so many mini missions during this past year 💕 Also, the lights are by Merry Brite (bought at cvs during Christmas). Portable and powered by AA batteries ✨
In order to get the most out of North Greenland and the Disko Bay Area I highly recommend seeing it by land, boat and air. If you have those options available to you, take them all! Hiking in Greenland is something that I have barely scraped the surface of but I will be back in the near future for a hiking/mountaineering focused trip. Boats provide an intimate experience where you can see all of the intricacies and details of the bergs but also to have a true sense of the scale. Seeing Greenland by air shows the vastness of the land and gives you a true appreciation of the diversity of the geography. This place needs to be added to anyone's life list! I don't use the term 'bucket list' because it's associated with death. Life list is about living your life with vigour and not waiting for the perfect conditions, not procrastinating, and not waiting for retirement. Live now. #WHPadventure @instagram
I'm sitting here on a Sunday, reminiscing on the first travel adventure I ever took. We were 19, had little money in our bank accounts, a dodgy japanese 4 wheel drive and little to no idea of where we were going.
We set off from Perth, our home town. The next 6 months would entail 1000's of goon bags, endless break downs, sneaking into concerts and national parks, raiding woolworths bins for a free feed, squatting in abandoned houses in Melbourne, climbing ayers rock under the cover of night to catch the sunrise, many an argument (always in an irish accent as if it halved the tension), tearing up local skate parks, lighting up karaoke nights with our signature "bloke" by Chris Franklin (google it!), iced coffees for breakfast and lunch, dodgy mechanics while we lived in carparks, bush camps, terrible but original songs by the fire, surfs, waterfalls, small towns, where ya from conversations and so much more!
Have you travelled Aus? How the bloody hell was it?? She's a big island and has so much to see! Tell me your story.. did you tame her or did she claim another victim!? I'm always excited to hear the stories of other peoples adventures in my home country ✌😄 #australia#travelaustralia
What are you doing for the eclipse?⠀
Just two more days until the total solar eclipse!!! I'm so excited. I'll be in Oregon trying to capture the once in a lifetime event. Where will you be?⠀
By day, the @bcadventureproject group explored the Great Bear Rainforest by foot, kayak and boat looking for the elusive coastal wolves. We found signs of their activity all around us. Multiple wolf tracks covered the beaches, the forest was filled with small bird heads, and broken shells littered the network of trails the wolves had created. To see
such active signs of the wolves was incredible. #BCAdventureProject
I just bought a motorcycle to explore Vietnam! I'm so excited to breakdown every couple days.
Also thank you to @justindkauffman this photo was taken with my drone that he brought back to the US when it broke in Bali and thanks to @jeraldmcdermott for bringing it back to me in Bali. And thank you @iwwm for letting me borrow your drone when mine was down. Check these amazing photographers out!
