@cattitude62 @meatfreemafia - I get that nobody likes to be preached to or told what to do, and maybe sometimes as vegans, we are too direct. But wouldn't you rather know someone's true perspective and intentions upfront instead of getting a slow drip of (mis)information throughout your entire life to the point that you start to think the thoughts you are having are actually your own? The way the meat and dairy industries market are not straightforward and there is a reason for that. The reason is that the very products they sell go against your natural state of being. So instead, they buy out other people and organizations who have no morals and then use those avenues to market their products in ways you would never consider as coming from them. For instance, the food pyramid is a construct of the meat and dairy industries. The food "education" you receive in school is from the meat and dairy industries. The FDA and all of these other government organizations who "protect consumers" (loud laugh there) are funded by the meat and dairy industries. At a certain point, if you aren't even remotely angry at how much they have played you for a fool...then you may well just be a fool. People will get mad at a single vegan sign that says to love animals instead of eating them, because that is "vegans pushing their beliefs on everyone." Meanwhile, right next to that sign will be three others pushing you to think you should be eating meat for dinner and never will you say that is the meat industry telling you what to eat.

The only place which makes makes me as alive as the forest is inside the water. But the water is still outside my comfort zone. The jungle on the other hand feels as natural to me as breathing. It's my home, it's where my smile is not forced. It's where I am me.

My buddy recommended I go on this cruise on Elliot Bay while in Seattle and it didn't disappoint. Jeez has it already been 2 1/2 weeks? Has anyone else taken one of these Argosy cruises? Not only do you get great views of the Seattle Waterfront and Puget Sound, but the guide on the cruise is telling you all about the history of the city. Thoroughly enjoyed it. If you're passing through Seattle DO IT!
