#FlashbackFriday to when my #StetsonRidge was a BABY! I mean, he calls other infants babies now so that means he's not so little anymore right 🤔😩 This was nearly a year ago when my freshman year had just begun at NEO A&M. My dude has grown up right before my eyes, and although I love and miss the 9 month old baby Stet, I love how much he has learned & grown in such a small amount of time. My opinion for a new mother would simply consist of enjoying the little things 😉when your baby nurses or has just fallen asleep... Instead of wanting to put them in their crib like you usually do to bustle about your chaotic home to clean and cook, sit there for a moment. Smell and kiss and cuddle your baby. There's not a single time I regret rocking him a little longer or just staring at him in wonderment (yeah, it sounds creepy but if you're a parent you get it.) Or when your babe wants you to read the same book 4 times in a row just do it with pleasure. How much longer will he bring you a book and want you to read to him? Enjoy these times with your babies while you can. I love to just touch my son's tiny hands and toes, kiss his soft cheek, and play with his smooth tufts of hair. And lately, I'm a sucker when he lays his head on my shoulder or wraps his arms around my neck to just be a little bit closer to his mama. These are the moments to live for. Being Stetson's mom makes me feel so alive. His energy puts a new meaning in my life, and for that I am thankful. #MomLife#BoyMom#babiesofinstagram#toddlersofinstagram#singlemom#tinybutmighty#OklahomaBoy
Children grow so fast, they change constantly. Their personalities emerge, they look like one parent and then the other, then quickly the look of a baby begins to fade, their words become more clear and a little person has taken over the place where your baby once was... these moments are fleeting and in an instant they have passed... but that's where photography steps in, and says... this moment I want to hold onto, this one should last with us forever... this one I want to relive again and again... this is why I believe that being a photographer is so much more then just taking beautiful portraits, but it's telling a story, it's capturing a moment in time to live on forever, it's being the one who bridges the gap between a moment that once was and moment that will live on forever, not just in our hearts, but in beautiful frames.
