This guy! HUGE HUGE shout out to my man @dschwartz319 as he heads off to @syracuseu!! I've had the pleasure of working with him from the summer after his 8th grade until now. You would be hard pressed to find someone who could out work him! He trained with me two hours a day, 3 days a week for 11 weeks straight. Last set of last nights sumo squats. Loving that my glutes are feeling more and more activated every day! I could come out of these sumo squats faster but I'm a stickler for focusing on engaging the correct muscles. I love squeezing my glutes in the bottom of a squat, driving through my heals and enjoying full focus on glute contraction and using them to work my way back up. 💥😁

Getting after The King of Lifts last night with my crew. The bench press is actually quite nuanced and technical and it's no surprise I typically see the most PRs at the Mastering the Basics workshop on this lift. Most people have never really been taught to bench in an efficient way or how to set themselves up for a tight and powerful lift. The bench is a very excellent lift and don't listen to the people who say benching is bad for your shoulders. How they are benching is bad for their shoulders. You will never speak ill of the bench around me and will learn to appreciate it's importance. I'll be teaching the Mastering the Basics workshops coming up! Sign up through the link in my bio!

So what began as a casual idea of the concept 'PT v PT' where @calumpugsley and I put our "expert" knowledge of all things gym in a battle evolved in to an 1000 rep leg day. Stupid idea. 1 hour 45 minutes later we crawl out of the gym. The video of it will be on Calum's YouTube channel sometime next week, presumably when he can walk again. I'm my usual witty self, obvs. If you wanna try it, I'm gonna post it. Make sure you don't need to use stairs for three days after. @calumpugsley designed the first 500 reps, I took the back 500 and it went down at @kelsey_kerridge, Cambridge's best gym. It went something like (1) Front squats 10 sets of Ten reps. (2) leg press 2 sets of fifty reps. (3) leg press calf raise 4 sets of twenty five reps. (4) dumbbell step ups alternative legs 4 sets of twenty five reps (5) leg extension 5 sets of twenty reps. (6) stiff leg deadlifts 10 reps supersetted with goblet squats 10 reps for four sets. (7) leg curl 10 reps, immediate drop set for another 10 reps then body weight squats straight after for ten reps. (8) seated calf raise 33 reps, 33 reps then 34 reps with the last rep static hold for 5 seconds. (9) body weight glute bridge 10 sets of fifteen. (10) triset to finish: back squat 10 reps, body weight squat 25 reps & explosive squats 15 reps, all straight after each other. Boom. HOCH COOKIES PROTEIN super snack nocturno.
Tiempo de preparación 10

INGREDIENTES: (para una ración de snack) -1/2 scoop de WHEY PROTEIN ó BIOPROT -1/2 2 cucharadas avellanas trituradas (hechas crema incluso mejor) -claras de huevo -saborizante vainilla ú opcional -1 onza chocolate negro sin azucar -edulcorante al gusto

Preparación:

Lo primero, pondremos el horno a precalentar a 250.

En un bol mezclamos las proteínas, avellanas, saborizante y la onza de chocolate picada en trozos.

Añadimos poco a poco y removiendo, claras de huevo (a ojo) hasta que quede una crema algo densa.

En este punto añadimos el edulcorante, según gustos.

Con una cuchara, sobre la bandeja del horno con su papel vegetal antiadherente (que es genial!) echamos la masa en varios “montoncitos” y dejando que se esparza, formando lo que serán luego nuestras HOCH COOKIES.

Llevamos al horno durante 5-6 minutos…. Dejamos reposar 20 minutitos sobre la rejilla, para que queden crujientes…. Y listas para devorarrrrr!

So my squat rack and all the bargain weights I got the other day (see previous post) are now up in my bedroom with my multi gym 👌 So along with a calm day and a nice evening I cracked out some training although I'm still in a little bit of pain with my healing broken finger. I feel heaps better, amazing how lifting heavy shit gives you that happy buzz back 💪🏋️‍♀️💪🏋️‍♀️

Today seems like it's going to be a good day (8.18) for me. In one year I marry my best friend on 8.18.18 ❤️

Today I passed my certified personal training exam (second pic). I got certified through a new organization (@nasm_fitness) because my current certification wasn't accepted at a handful of the gyms I visited. So in order to create more opportunity to myself I buckled down and studied for a week and a half to take my exam today.

I passed with flying colors! I can't officially announce what's going to happen very soon, but I will say it's big and I'm beyond excited for what's to come. When I can officially announce what's going on, I will give you more details on the last two weeks of "unemployment". Until then, I'm gonna take my girl out to dinner and celebrate passing this exam and our one year out from getting married! 🎉

Training to be like Goku. Did 3 sets of 7 with 135, 3x3 with 185, 3x2 with 205, and 3x1 with 225😭 I also deadlifted quite a lot that day and finally hit a 95lbs snatch😆🙌🏼 it was death that day... I wish I was like Saitama and gained enormous strength just from 100 sit ups, 100 push up, 100 squats, and a 10km run everyday😂💪🏽 Then again I love training and the feeling of when you accomplish a new PR😂😈
