Haven't been able to sleep all weekend...couldn't put my finger on why until tonight.  Two weeks from today is the start of school.  My kids are excited about seeing friends, seeing favorite teachers, and not excited about homework ๐Ÿ˜œ
I, on the other hand, am a mess.  The first day of school this year is also our first year in middle school.  This means new teachers to educate, to advocate to, to win over, to get them to see the bright light in my child.
It's not easy conversations, some teachers are amazing while others are barely present.  But I keep reminding myself of how much I have learned, about the system, about my child, about his amazing potential...and that gives me strength and confidence to push on...and maybe even to get some rest tonight.

Lord have mercy. The Johnson household has been a crazy mess for a whole week!! ๐Ÿ˜– All 3 kids got sick!! Whhhhaaaaatttt?! How in the heck is that even fair? To top it off, I had 2 neighborhood events I was hosting, floral design and a day of coordination...back to back to back - PLUS the kids being sick - which also meant Hunter didn't sleep well...so this mom was a walking #mombie for a good 4 days straight.
