How much cardio should you do?
The amount of cardio that should be done is highly dependent on the individual and their goals. If you're trying to gain weight and build muscle cardio should be kept to a minimum. You may want to do 2 to 3 sessions of cardio per week just for general health purposes, but not so much that it interferes with your ability to recover and make gains.
if you're attempting to lose fat and lower your body fat percentage cardio can be looked at as a tool to create a caloric deficit. With that being said you should only use the amount of cardio that is needed to achieve your desired result.
For example if you're aiming to lose 2 pounds per week and you can achieve that by just eating slightly less and not doing cardio then adding in 2 to 3 sessions of cardio per week just because is not the smartest decision. Your metabolism adapts while you're on a diet and wants it adapts you're going to have to make changes to keep the progress coming. If you throw everything at your body at one time and it gets used to that then what else are you going to do?
so long story short, use cardio as necessary. Add it in small increments to keep progress coming and repeat. Tag a friend that would find this helpful!
How did I miss sharing this detail? During S.I.C.K.'s "Whine & Cheese" event, our sister @martilouhou gifted many of her maternity clothes and baby items to our expecting mamas of the group. This is what sisterhood is about. This is what S.I.C.K. is about. This is love. Want to join S.I.C.K? Just click the link in my bio! We'd love to have you, sis! ❤
