It's the end of July and our tomatoes still look like this. We really have our work cut out for us.
Our PNW summers start in July (con). But the sunny days have been long (pro). But then our yard also has HUGE oak trees which shade the garden throughout the day as the sun passes through the various branches up above (major con). Then again, the oak trees create such a wooded feel to our neighborhood--it's nice to feel present in the beauty of the PNW yet still only be a hop skip away from the city life.
BUT WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT THESE SAD TOMATOES?
An absolute war this past Friday night. Getting xrays later this week for my elbow, which I'm 95% certain is a fracture. After a grueling 30 minutes of action in a 2/3 falls match, I was able to walk away with the Sasquach Pro Heavyweight title. This was a great achievement for me and very symbolic because I won this title the same day as my grandmas funeral. To those who have been by my side during such a rough portion of my life, I am forever in debt to you. As a man, and better yet a bearer of the Ludwig name I put my entire existence into everything I do. Driven by passion, fueled by honor and running on pride. No weaknesses, no excuses, just get out there and take what you want! It all starts by making the decision to toughen up and relinquish yourself from your comfort zone to conquer the unknown.
I hurt my leg a couple weeks ago and reverted back to being a shy old lady, pretty much living under the bed 24/7...My leg is all better and I'm slowly coming out more often to socialize with the humans ❤️🐾
Love these two people so much. Still stoked from their wedding that was almost two months ago already. It was an honor to be apart of such an incredible day.
And I'm also super glad they could stop in Bend for a couple days during their move out to Oregon to hang out with me. We decided to take the treacherous hike up Misery ridge on day one•
Portland, Oregon is an incredible city for finding vintage clothes and antiques. You can find many of them in downtown and Hawthorne in SE Portland, but a select few are still in the East Burnside Buckman neighborhood, about a mile west. ********
This shop, #hattiesvintageclothing , has been in business since the 90s. Here you can find vintage Americana and designer pieces all found in the Pacific Northwest. 😍
