#drivingaround & #busy today morning so enjoying the #mealprep I did last night of 100% cacao #darkchocolate (#foodoftheweek ) overnightoats from @kirbiecravings ❤️This is not just a #young people food idea but something all #adults could enjoy! 😀Easily double, triple, or quadruple the proportions used to premake a batch for a few days of #hearthealthy (both dark choc + oats are!) breakfast
How to do it:
1) Combine 1/2 cup rolled oats (I used @krogerco 😀) + 1/2 cup any milk (I used @lovemysilk unsweetened soy milk since that was what I had around) + 1 tablespoon @hersheycompany 100% cacao, unsweetened cocoa powder + 1-2 tbsp honey (depending on how sweetened you want your oats) + 1 tbsp #chia seeds (optional, but great fiber boost! 😀)in jar. Stir it all up well until you achieve a well blended consistency.
2) Close top of jar and keep in the refrigerator overnight for use in the #morning for breakfast! If you lack a whole night, a few hours can work as well.
3) Serve with fresh fruit, nuts, tea or water if possible!
4) Get in the flavonoids/fiber/antioxidants of heart healthy dark chocolate as you savor your #oatmeal , a great source of dietary #fiber & iron 😀
Good morning 🤗😊 I made these bowls of vanilla oatmeal today and thought I'd share the recipe with you here 🍓🍇🍧😋
🥄300ml vanilla flavoured almond milk 🥄 5tbs instant oats
🥄 put into a pot
🥄 heat until it comes to boil
🥄 1tbs chiaseeds
🥄 3tbs popped amaranth
🥄 frozen raspberries
🥄 frozen blueberries
Soupiest. Oatmeal. Ever. (But so delicious.)
1/3 c old-fashioned oats flavored with vanilla and cinnamon and sweetened with one banana and a two handfuls of blueberries (I'm out of maple syrup eeeek!) then mixed with some homemade coconut yogurt (from @minimalistbaker's new recipe, although mine is super runny) and topped with more blueberries and a square of 85% cocoa chocolate because CHOCOLATE
Sneaking in my veg the best way I know how 🤗 I actually cooked my oats in some veggies & pineapple @saladpower juice and unsweetened almond milk and it turned out wonderfully! Topped with sliced banana, strawberries, crushed walnuts, @siggisdairy 0% vanilla skyr, and shredded coconut ✨
After lifting weights with new #gymbuddy yesterday, my body is definitely feeling it this morning. Why am I not getting breakfast this morning? 🙁 🐶🐶🔬In case you didn't know, Oatmeal is one of the 3,000 golden retrievers enrolled in @morrisanimalfoundation's Golden Retriever Lifetime Study. It is an observational study that follows the lifestyle and health of each enrolled golden from 6 months to the end of their life. Each year, Oatmeal goes to the vet for her annual study visit to have samples collected like blood and nails. We collect her urine and poo samples at home to send in with her. Both the vet and us (her humans) have to fill out a questionnaire about her diet, health, and lifestyle.
