A few hours prior to our arrival in Inverness, Scotland I was lying and fantasizing about all the food I was gonna eat when we got there. Indian food, Thai food, sea food, Mexican food, yeah almost everything except English food (which includes Scottish food) haha. Then suddenly these guys came playing alongside our boat. Watching them made me forget all about how exhausted I was after three long days seeing nothing but the sea and nearly hallucinating due to very little sleep and little nutrition. I think calmer seas also helped a lot in that matter :p We had a bit rough, but safe sail across the North Sea. There were stronger winds than expected, but the boat handled everything beautifully, she just danced on the waves and wouldn't speed down almost no matter how little sail we gave her. Looking forward to celebrate the first sail of our voyage (and also get rid of the bandaches on my back and scratch it A LOT!)!
"This photo was taken during the Gaudie Procession, an ancient St. Andrews tradition, and my obvious favorite. The idea of carrying a torch along the cliffs, past the castle and cathedral, and onto the pier into the sea wearing a billowing red gown was simply sensory over-stimulation. It was a surreal experience and one that made me recognize how special and unique this place truly was."⠀
