Rule No 1 #nevermissamonday Although it was my 30th I had every intention of going to bootcamp but my dog went missing an we didn't get him back till late Monday night, was the worst birthday ever an this caused me to miss bootcamp! 
Last night I done a 1 mile run an circuits in my hotel room not good enough.
Tonight I was back at bootcamp an used my iWatch that I got for my birthday so I know exactly how many calories I'm burning! 
Loved being back in the trenches!

There are lots of ways to modify a workout, and I've probably used all of them at different times 😂

But the big change for this one? Yes, that's right, sneakers. (Not the sweaty frizziness, that's pretty standard 😉) I usually work out in bare feet, but with long workouts this week that involve a lot of jumping, I wanted to cushion my feet with more than just carpet. So sneakers it was, and they actually felt pretty good! Although a little weird.

Anyway, my point is that you can make a change and keep going if something is making your workouts harder - better than giving up, right?

#nevermissamonday @trainersoncall (a little late) Here's one of my regular "crew" members performing a Russian Kettle bell Swing. This dynamic move is not only great for burning calories - taxing your cardio endurance - but also for increasing power performance in your posterior chain (glutes, hamstrings, erector spinae). Make sure you're not turning this into a Sumo Squat, but rather a hip hinge, when performing this. This move should be explosive as you extend your hips and "crack that nut" with your glutes so that the bell wants to basically FLOAT up to parallel with your shoulders. LADIES, a good indicator of this explosiveness, is a flying ponytail as you snap up to the top. Proper cueing and coaching for moves like these, comes with every group class so you can reach your max performance and avoid injury. 🙌🏻💪

A week ago I struggled with my lower back pain doing simple moves like squatting or even walking, as I took some physical therapy for my back I realized there was one flaw I was lacking and that's my core engagement. Sometimes we don't even think about it but the core is very vital part of the body it supports your lower body and upper body and it even protects your back (major key since it's an extension to your brain) you want to always keep your core engaged.

A handful of guys and dolls are missing from this picture...new additions like babies or husbands too.... I have a goal of being able to be home with my daughter in the near future! Since she started school, she has been in after care until 7 pm! I am tired of being away from her all day long...I didn't think it would be possible for us to get out of that reality...until I discovered coaching!! So many women on our team started this way, too...and have built a business that has allowed them the freedom to work from home and be there for their kids!

Two variations of single leg / split leg exercises to help increase strength. I do these with the goal of getting better at climbing rocks during hikes. If I look dead and underwhelmed it's because I did these after the belt squats and box jumps from the previous post.

Just because society has put a stamp of approval on restrictive diets and skinny girls taking gym bathroom mirror selfies doesn’t mean that’s something we should strive for. I did strive for that and guess where it landed me? In the doctor’s office with weak bones, infertility and a disordered mindset of what’s healthy and beautiful." @fitforlifebysarah

First day 100% back on track since our wedding. My plan was to be back on it as of Saturday but life happens. Got it done! 21 days.  9 lbs down and some abs peaking back out. Followed diet plan to a T. Didn't miss a single workout. All from home 25-45 mins 6 days a week without a weight heavier than 25lbs.  Had to modify some jumps but otherwise nailed it.  Glad the wife "forced" me to join her. Bring on round 2!

2.6 miles of death by hills completed again! Tried to run at a tempo pace the entire way around this route without stopping. It didn't happen haha. Had to walk three times en route but kept my time spent running as close to those elusive 9:XX min/miles as possible

It was DARK at 5 when I was supposed to run, and somehow I missed the memo about the rain. ☔️I don't do solo runs in dark rain🙄, so I spent the morning on the treadmill with a fabulous ladder workout (thanks @pacerightcoaching) listening to @lindseyhein626 chat with @paceofme and got a boost for the day. She tells her story of training and running and captures the moral of the game: "your "personal best" isn't always your best time....it's just being in the best health, best mindset..." (paraphrased a smidge, but you get the idea)😂 She also shares a story of a friend with ALS who continues to participate in sport despite her diagnosis, and has quite the enthusiasm to do so. Reminds me that the rain can't dampen a day...I run because I CAN. Not because I have to in order to meet my goal, or because I've got something to prove. Round 2 Shift Shop Day 1 completed yesterday. After a long day of stress and more stress I started talking myself out of every opportunity to workout. Three weeks of committed 25,35,45 min workouts finally established a routine.  I pushed play on my Beach Body On Demand and worked my stress away! 🌟 Information is not transformation 🌟

That says it all! Information is meaningless without action. It's not like old, hiding me on the left didn't know that exercise would be good for me.

I knew that I needed to eat better.
I knew that I needed to exercise.
I knew that I needed to lose weight.
I knew that I had no energy, no stamina, high cholesterol, a mild arrhythmia, and what to do about all of it.
Worst of all, I knew the messages my poor self-esteem and self-care habits - even my hiding from the camera! - were sending to my children.

BUT I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WITH THAT KNOWLEDGE. I sat on it. Sure, I would diet periodically, or make a sporadic shot at exercise, but I always made excuses and quit within a few days, a few weeks at best. So I kept being tired, feeling defeated, hiding and feeling terrible about myself. I felt lost. I felt like there were no options. I thought I had "tried everything." What I didn't know was why I kept failing. Now I know why. Now I know why I've been fit and happy for two full years and have no trouble moving ahead.

I found something that works, I know why it does, and I'd love to tell you more!
