I wish I looked this happy post run 😅 I forgot the gym opening hours (I'm an idiot) so instead of weight training I went out for an easy paced 5k instead. Ran out of time and the 2.1 miles I did felt like torture 😷
If anyone can advise when an 'easy run' actually becomes easy that would be greatly appreciated 😭
This is NOT my first "get healthy" kick...but i seriously do hope that daily activity will become yet again and finally/forever a daily priority for me!! #nevermissamonday @trainersoncall (a little late) Here's one of my regular "crew" members performing a Russian Kettle bell Swing. This dynamic move is not only great for burning calories - taxing your cardio endurance - but also for increasing power performance in your posterior chain (glutes, hamstrings, erector spinae). Make sure you're not turning this into a Sumo Squat, but rather a hip hinge, when performing this. This move should be explosive as you extend your hips and "crack that nut" with your glutes so that the bell wants to basically FLOAT up to parallel with your shoulders. LADIES, a good indicator of this explosiveness, is a flying ponytail as you snap up to the top. Proper cueing and coaching for moves like these, comes with every group class so you can reach your max performance and avoid injury. 🙌🏻💪

A week ago I struggled with my lower back pain doing simple moves like squatting or even walking, as I took some physical therapy for my back I realized there was one flaw I was lacking and that's my core engagement. Sometimes we don't even think about it but the core is very vital part of the body it supports your lower body and upper body and it even protects your back (major key since it's an extension to your brain) you want to always keep your core engaged.

Marriage; Babies; Promotions; Opening of our Own franchises/businesses; Cross-Country moves; Cross-the-world moves; breakups and makeups; LOUD and Boisterous Memories; Quiet Conversations with a best friend.....and soooooo much more!! A handful of guys and dolls are missing from this picture...new additions like babies or husbands too.... Through it all we have simply been there for each others' life's "Landmark Moments" and silly nights watching the Bach/Bachelorette!!! I'm just here paying homage to special memories as this one is in the forefront today!

Got it done! 21 days. 9 lbs down and some abs peaking back out. Followed diet plan to a T. Didn't miss a single workout. All from home 25-45 mins 6 days a week without a weight heavier than 25lbs. Had to modify some jumps but otherwise nailed it. Glad the wife "forced" me to join her. Bring on round 2!

2.6 miles of death by hills completed again! Tried to run at a tempo pace the entire way around this route without stopping. It didn't happen haha. Had to walk three times en route but kept my time spent running as close to those elusive 9:XX min/miles as possible
So it wasn't a complete disaster and I definitely got a good workout in. Here's hoping with more consistency I can finally find this mystery called an 'easy effort run' 😂

Traveled to San Sebastián Bernal, Querétaro, México to hike the tallest freestanding monolith in the world 1,421ft / 433m. The hike also starts at an elevation around 6,880ft / 2,097m.
