Day 40 | Two things going on here. First, I'm using harmonics to get my air and body in the right position to always nail that high F sharp in this tricky arpeggio. Second, I'm trying out a practice technique where I play a trouble phrase in its entirety intermittently throughout my practice session (in this case, it's two measures from the first movement of the Mozart Concerto in D). I play it all the way through without stopping, even if there are mistakes (spoiler alert: there are). The idea is that I'll be able to play it in my sleep if I keep up with this technique long enough--no mental preparation necessary for when it's actually being performed in context.
