Ohhhh backbends. A couple months ago I noticed the deeper I went in backbends the more issues I was having with my back and I couldn't seem to shake it. So I RESET, and recently I started slowly bringing back the depth. I learned my body needed time and space to build more muscle to really give my spine the support it needs to hold me up. My love for hot yoga runs so deep, it's the glue that hold my life together. So hitting RESET is extremely hard for this type A girl 🙋🏼But it taught me to LISTEN to my body, and know it's OKAY to reset. I definitely came back to my practice stronger. 💪🏻

This is it. It's here. The future is here. Either you adapt or you're gone. Either you are a business well established, a startup or just a person who wants to brand himself or herself, if you don't produce the way people consume, you don't exist. Learn it. Change it. Improve it. Do it again. You're welcome! 🎬 @hustle_am
The Fourlaps team is in Oregon this week where there is no shortage of inspiration. Our visit to the Portland Japanese Garden, which integrates architecture with nature, has been especially inspiring. The garden's designers brought Japanese tradition to the city, not by simply copying existing examples from Japan, but by adapting these principles to harmonize with their current situation. Much like those designers who were ahead of their time, Fourlaps follows a similar approach by pulling inspiration from vintage Ivy League sportswear and creating gear to meet the demands of today's active lifestyle. My full time job is to help gals get into the shape they but listen, my job is ALSO to remind the same gals that the end result that they strive for doesn't look 'one way' at all times.
On the left, I only really look like that 2% of the time. I'm posing! I mean, imagine if I was doing a sideways crab 🦀 style walk trying to maintain that exact POSE as I walked around each day 😂 Have you ever reached a weight loss goal and felt SUPER DUPER proud of yourself, only to THEN spot yourself in a mirror when slouched over and feel a wave of sadness?! Dimming your feeling of achievement and making you feel like you've SO MUCH MORE to work at before you're 'happy' with your 'bikini body'?
GUILTY 💁🏻 I've also been there! 😩
Here's the thing. I exercise because I love it! I enjoy how I feel while moving and getting a sweat going, it makes me feel great and is a fab de-stressor too... BUT I STILL HAVE A STICKY OUT BELLY WHEN I SIT DOWN.
It's not news to me, I already know and accept this and so it doesn't make me feel bad about who I am. It isn't going anywhere anytime soon no matter how much I exercise!
We can all choose how we feel about ourselves. We can choose to exercise and diet our lives away while STILL pulling and poking the body parts we hate OR we can exercise, enjoy the benefits and body changes we DO see and accept the rest.
The power is with us. Do you want a mind full of negatives or work on squeezing more positives in instead? I know what I choose 🙋🏻💪🏽 #reallife#mybody#bodylove#bodypositivity
Black magic kind of afternoon..... Just got changed into a cashmere hoody and am currently burning this beauty. It's may be black outside but it is warm and toasty in here. I absolutely love this weather. Friday everyone.
Time for #fridayintroductions !! My name is Carey and I am the owner of COR Marketing Group. A few fun facts about me.
1. I have 5 brother's and sisters. 2 of my sisters are the same age, but not twins.
2. I use to hang out with drag racers back in my teens. My family was involved in funny cars and we spent most of our weekends and summers traveling around the country at different drag strips. It was some of the greatest times of my youth.
3. I wanted to be an accountant and even work for the IRS when I was in my early 20s. I got into marketing and web design after I had become a stay at home mom 15 years ago and needed to learn a new skill.
Tell me what you wanted to be when you were younger and what you are doing now?
When I lost my 7plus I vowed to not take any photos until I replaced it. (The quality is THAT different you guys!) But that's besides the point. 👇🏼
I couldn't help but put this together to show you all the importance of maintenance and styling. The picture on the left looks pretty horrible, right? WRONG. There is nothing terribly wrong with it except it's lacking shine and it was blow dried quickly without any heat styling. Her hair is naturally curly which means FRIZZY TEXTURE! 🙀 The picture on the right (with JUST a round brush blow dry) is after her 9 week color maintenance service and I thought she'd be the perfect candidate for the B3 Demi permanent conditioner which , if you check out that shine, was a good call. ✨ If you're still reading this, Any time the cuticle is flared open the color can and will look dull, uneven and sometimes you might not be able to see the definition (especially in thick hair). I used 2oz 6NN 1/2oz 5NGB Redken CoverPlus for her base and 3oz 8/07 Paul Mitchel "the color". I like this shade because it balances out the warmth without going to ashy.✨
Today is our major non-scale victory! We'd like to thank you, our #MyFitnessPal community, for helping us break 100,000 followers on Instagram. It goes without saying that we couldn't have done this without you. Our mutual love for striving to be healthier, eat better, move more and stay motivated highlights that we're all in this together — and we are together every step of the way. Here's to the next 100K — let it be filled with more #MondayMotivation , #WorkoutWednesdays with our squad and all the 🍳🥑🍎🍇🍓☕️ of our dreams.
"Despise not the day of small beginnings." -Zechariah 4:10. These little sprouts are my mom's. And a reminder for me to stop being disappointed over slow growth. These humble, tiny plants (currently planted in disposable coffee cups 😂) will one day be massive date trees producing so much fruit!!! So keep growing and continue being faithful the destiny God has called you for! You were born for such a time as this! #lamppostprints#mondaymotivation#keepgoing#risingtidesociety
