When you have something in the works and you feel like you're sneaking around hiding it from the world...just kidding! Ever feel frustrated by not getting enough done in the day? Or maybe you feel like you're always "on" All. The. Time! Don't worry, I got you! I'll help you tighten up your day and get twice as much done in half the time so you can get onto living again!❤️❤️❤️ Comment "YES!" if you need this! #sophialoren 💕
This is a great starting point and reality check for business owners. Don't forget to include about 15-18% for taxes in your estimation. If you need to increase your prices or fees, that's ok. This is what it costs to run a business and stay profitable. Don't undervalue yourself--but bring double value to your clients. 🙌🏻Always over-deliver! *Double tap to agree!
When my 4 children were young (infant-7), I had to reinvent how I managed my time or nothing would get done and I'd be walking around with guilt all day for either not doing enough around the house or feeling like I neglected my children! Plus I was working from home PT. Where was the balance and solution? Super frustrating, right?! Thankfully I was able to figure out a workable system for myself and my kids without all the mom-guilt! (Bonus: no nervous breakdown!) It's a system where you arise earlier than usual (whatever that means for you) and get the bulk of your work done in the first four hours of your day. Time to put work in its place and live your life! I still use it every day even now that my kids are much older--it still works! I'm so excited to be working on my "First Four" time management ebook, coming soon! Interested? 🌸Comment YES! below if this could provide some value to you. Have a great weekend!💕
We're going out with friends tonight and I'm really excited because they've just had their first baby! I remember those days and the joy of first becoming a mother. It's really fun kind of re-living vicariously thru others' experiences! Friends, fellowship and being human together, hearing about the ups and downs, the good and tough stuff of living and just being there as couples for each other. This is real-life stuff as we were made to be in relationship with others. I can't wait to hear about their experiences! (Gotta get the laundry done first tho! Ha!)🌸 What are you looking forward to tonight? Tell me below!!
We need a swift change to reset our body and minds. The secret is to learn your own signs when it's coming. Being an entrepreneur makes it difficult because you're the only one calling the shots in your time management and structures. So you have to be in tune with your mind and body and love yourself enough to know when "it's time". Take a break--don't just lay around all day (binging on Netflix for 10 hrs can make things worse!) but do something different--take a long walk WITHOUT your step tracker, drive to the beach and be unplugged for a few hrs, go exploring with NO destination in mind--bring the kids along too! (My friend's mom always called it a "DU Day", Destination Unknown! Fun!) You'll find that when you return to your desk, computer and creative work space, you'll be able to reclaim your drive, your true self. This is the stuff of real life and YOU, the part that's authentic and ready to work again! 🌸Be kind to yourself (My recommendation: once every 5-7 days) *Double tap to agree!
Our perspective on serving others will inform how we approach our business mindset and other people. We need to position ourselves from a place of service with the understanding of how valuable we are as business leaders, mentors and examples to others. We get paid because we provide something of service or value to someone who needs us. We will need other people at some point too; it's a positive cycle. How many are you serving today?🌸
I'm passionate about helping you find your way thru, to rise above the mundane stuff of business and get on to living REAL life. Every day I want to encourage, entertain, serve and train others as it fulfills my purpose too. Where is your business heading today? Are you clear about your mission and vision? Do you need help with practical skills or maybe a mindset shot in the arm? 🌸*Click the link in my bio for a free discovery call today!
Do you find yourself staring at a blank page or canvas for hours on end? Or do you find yourself obsessed with your creativity but can get nothing else done in your life otherwise? I know, this statement may seem counter-intuitive...I hear ya! But placing boundaries on your time surrounding your creative expressions creates a different kind of freedom. You can shut out the world if you need to and let yourself fly! Be free with your expressions yet tight with your time. It may take some practice and a few tries, but I promise you it will pay off. DM me with any questions! *Comment below if you're willing to give it a go!🌸 #creatives#artists
In 2008 I was working as a teacher in London. Every night I'd stand on the platform at Edgeware Road tube station, loaded down with books, being knocked left right and centre by crowds with backpacks and wet umbrellas. It's the reality I remind myself of whenever I feel nostalgic and think about moving back to London!
All around me, people would be lost in the world inside their headphones. I'd just stand and stare at the wall. Because on that wall there was an advert for Australia. A photo of Kakadu National Park - this big expanse of nature and beauty and peace. And no people. And as I was shoved out of the way by people more deserving of a space on the tube than me, while the London soundtrack of 'move down inside the carriages!!' echoed around me, I'd stare at this picture, and just think 'I wish I was there'. 8 months later I was. 8 months later - 8 years ago today - I made it. And every night being crushed on that platform, every morning leaving the house in the dark, every afternoon in a class full of students who mostly ignored me, was worth it. Worth it for this moment - no stress, no fears, just pure freedom and joy!
What an amazing memory! And so perfectly timed! Everything is worth it in the end!
I'm pragmatic in my business and will try something if I see that it works for others. If something isn't working in my business tho (ie. no results or $$!), I toss it aside and move on. The more quickly you learn to "sort" through what works and what doesn't in your business, the more quickly you'll grow and get rid of stuff that's holding you back. Pay for the right information (read books, get training, join a FB or mastermind group) and save yourself time and energy--don't reinvent the wheel! Oh yeah, and don't forget to reapply sunscreen--see my story 😣 🌸 Double tap to agree (not about the sunscreen)!!💕
It's really a choice. And choices turn into habits. Habits are just behavior we don't have to consciously think about so why not turn something so amazing like encouragement into an ongoing habit?! Start choosing today!! The sky is the limit! 🌸*Double tap to agree!
You were mean for so much more! Don't let your comfort zone keep you from living the life you were meant to live.
If you're looking for some good daily motivation and encouragement, I HIGHLY recommend the audio book The Motivation Manifesto by Brendon Burchard. I started it this week and I am loving it!
So get out there and get out of your comfort zone, do something you're afraid of, and push yourself to do amazing things!! The only thing in your way is YOU!
Encouraging words don't cost a thing. I try to find one person a day to give some encouragement to (and I usually find many more!). I know how I feel when someone gives me a compliment or sees something inside me or about me that has VALUE: I feel awesome and maybe a tiny bit taller on the inside.😉 The secret of encouragement is that it takes your sole focus off yourself, makes you and your encouragee feel good too! Win-win! Try to find one person to encourage today--you will feel a shift in your mindset and perspective, promise! *Comment YES if you'll do it💕👏🏼!
Right now according to my own plan I'm supposed to be making a PDF workbook for my time management program but I got frustrated so I'm taking a break and posting on my Instagram and giving myself a 10-min timed limit. Then I'll go back to the PDF work again! Toggling and Timers seem to work for me and I'm not gonna change some of my habits so I make allowances for myself and it works! Set the timer across the room or even in another room to make yourself have to move to go turn it off. How can you make successful "allowances" for yourself today? 🌸 *Comment below!
