A belly full of tzatziki and a heart full of happy🐚 Coming up to the end of my trip and I want to discuss something that has had a massive impact on me here: bodies. This summer has been a very interesting one for me on this topic. I've never worn a #bikini before. In front of people. Who look at me. And look at other people. To me that is a massive milestone (woo!💃) which has always been nothing but a terrifying thought. Not because I don't like my body, but because it may not be as subjectively nice as the body next to me. 👁️ I also never *really* looked and realised that many people have many bodies. This may sound very trivial to most but growing up I was so heavily focused on how different other bodies were from mine that I forgot to see how different they all were between them. I saw so many bodies on beaches around Greece who just OWNED IT and I LOVED IT. It must be a very difficult thing to do for many, especially given the role of social media today and the concept of the #IGmodel . Pressure 👏🏼 is 👏🏼 everywhere 👏🏼. This trip has also been one of the few trips on which I have actually posted photos of myself and my body. I want my grandkids to see photos of me gaining life experiences while being comfortable (hoping my grandkids are on insta...) 📸 The point is: just because someone else is beautiful doesn't mean that you're not. It also doesn't mean that you shouldn't try to be the best version of yourself, but the battle is making that desire come from a healthy place. Constantly comparing to others is a real thing and I will continue to actively (~try to~) stop doing it. Would love to read people's thoughts on this! 💪🏼 PS I also like this quote that @witanddelight_ posted 😊 #tenitravels#summer#bodies
Inaugural Selfie in the new gym. Had a great workout with @nicklevert a new @integritydriven Ambassador. First workout in over three weeks really enjoyed the workout partner today. I've had a great day.
