@marielhannah and I just wrapped a shoot, we only had a few hours left in NYC before heading back to LA. We somehow jumped on the wrong subway back to our hotel. While waiting for the next subway, we started a conversation with an art curator, lasting throughout the entire (busy) ride back into midtown. We were so cramped standing in the corner, with an elderly couple in between us. The art curator insisted during our last hours in NY that we must do the highline. Only then did the couple joined in our conversation, offering his own opinions about the highline. For about 10 minutes we talked with strangers, laughed & had substantial interaction with people we didn't know. As we got off our stop, said goodbye to the art curator & stepped out with the couple. We parted ways a few minutes after & only offering our names, the man simply says "check out my photo book, it's called Legends by Oscar". So there we parted ways, not knowing that we were conversing with one of the greatest photographers. Also, we definitely spent the last few hours in NY walking the highline. #newyorkcity#theempirestate .
