Sometimes I take off-center pictures of giant salads (w/@traderjoeslist healthy 8 mix + tzatziki + chickpeas + tomatoes) to keep LC out of the picture.
It doesn't always work out. Can't be perfect all the time.
Back procedure #1 was successful and absolutely excruciating 🤗👍🏼
I had a medial branch block done this morning - Two on the left side and two on the right on L5 and S1. They burned/deadened the nerves so they can't send out or receive pain signals. My doctor said my spine has degenerated 50% if not 60% which is causing my herniated discs to not only be stuck and unable to re-heal but they're being crushed due to the decrease in height and he actually described my vertebrae as "smushed mushrooms." 🙃 BUT hopefully we will only go up from here. One down, two to go.
I'm out of training for 2-3 days (although you know ima be back on that shit tomorrow). But I'll be spending the next few days working on a new program, "28 Days of HIIT":
1. 4 weeks of HIIT under load
2. Implementing a new focus every week
3. Working towards building muscular and cardiovascular endurance
4. Progressively shortening rest periods
5. Will be available for $20 which is LESS THAN $1 a workout
6. Downloadable and will always be accessible
7. Scientific research and explanation on why HIIT under load is the best way to lose body fat and build/maintain muscle (body recomp)

mood AF right now. spent ages trying to make myself look skinnier in this and it just wasn't working. ive been on my feet since 5am, on about 4 hours sleep. ive had important visits at work and issues at home that are making me angry eat.
the gym is the last thing on my mind and i could eat a whole tub of ben & jerrys.
BUT on the upside im moving in with @kellyenos next month, creamfields with @craigstj next weekend and a family meal saturday.

I've been missing heavy lifting so much these past couple weeks with working on my house! Happy to put even a little bit of weight up today during my me time at LTU today. Failed at 10# off my 1RM so not too bad for being out of the weight room for a few weeks! I was struggling with 60kg squats a week ago and now I'm doing 8 reps easily 💪🏼🍑. Probably mentality over strength but I'm so happy with it and I'm going for 70kg comfortably now 😋🌈💕🌞. Make sure you're always pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, it's the best place to be 👊🏼.
Today I have finally come to peace with not having 6 pack abs anymore 😌.. see u next year!
It isn't necessary to do a huge bulk and put on a ton of weight to build muscle but I like food. Bad food. Lots of it. And the fatter you get, the better the bootay looks 👀

Clearly not the most graceful #yogi , and I still have work to do, but this is such a huge accomplishment for me! I have never been able to do a headstand.... ever. I've just never practiced the patience.
I decided to give it a try this morning. At this point, I was already 30 or so minutes and about 50 or so repetitions into trying to achieve this.
My arms were exhausted, I couldn't Feel my shoulders and my previously broken wrist was acting up and hurting like hell. But I pushed through it. And I am so glad that I did!
My point of this post is that if there's something that you want to achieve, then fucking achieve it. The only person and the only thing holding you back is yourself. If you put in the time and you put in the effort and you look at failure as an opportunity for growth, then you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

Another day, another egg bowl. I am go go going today. School, park, errands, house cleaning, and then dinner with my mom ❤️. Hoping this plus a small snack will be all I need until dinner. (P.s.-this is about 900 calories of food.🙈)
One of those mornings where you wake up in a mood ready to crush it. 🤘🏼 Hair was gross, so hat on and music up. 😂 First workout since a minor(okay large incident) on a run where my left ankle rolled and ate it and cut up my knee and hand pretty bad and I was feeling it. Back and bis will be sore tomorrow. Good thing I get to help mom move all day tomorrow!!! 🙃
Oops I judged!.
Just the other day, one of my friend asked me if I was going to take a Twerking class, and my immediate response was ‘I don’t twerk.’ It had vibe of ‘that wasn’t my style’ combined with ‘I don’t think twerking is classy.’ And immediately I felt badly.
Judgement is SO present in our society. Especially towards women coming from other WOMEN. The range of things we can judge each other on is just endless. Our choices of having or not having kids, our choices of having how MANY kids, our choices of our marital status, our choice of dance we find the most expressive, or even the type of Instagram photos we post.
To ALL my ladies out there, from now on I’m making a firm effort to NOT JUDGE. I choose to CELEBRATE our womanhood and not contribute towards the underlying misogynistic mentality. If you want to twerk, slither on the floor, prance around the pole, post super sexy picture of yourself in your undies, you do you boo, you will get no judgement from me.

squats 4x3x235 & bench 4x3x125 | weights moved fast yesterday! and i JUST realized i read my program wrong for bench lol oops 😅😅 but i'm super happy about the speed of these lifts bc next week coach has me doing AMRAPs for squat and bench 🙈 so hopefully things go better than expected. but ill worry about that when the time comes.
