We have been working with the alpacas to get them to walk into the pool. We started with straight water but soon realized it was too slick for them to walk on. We added a little dirt and no water. For weeks we have been working on getting them in it with only dirt. They have decided that is okay so we started to add a little water while spraying them down. Today was the first day they got in with all 4 feet and actually laid down in it. 👏🏼😀 Check out our stories to see Mermaid get in and lay down, so exciting!! ❤️
This @albaparis design says it all! "We all have lungs to breathe, legs to walk, ears to hear, nose to smell, a brain to think, a heart to feel... THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS YOUR PERCEPTION!” ! !

We visited the Taproot Cider House in Traverse City, MI and tried the Thai Green Curry. It's a medley of zucchini, carrots & sugar snap peas on a bed of basmati rice. Toped with chili cashews, cilantro, and lime. This dish was spectacular. If you are torn on something to order from this place, forget all of your other options and go with the Thai Green Curry. The only downside to this dish is that it seems extremely light on the curry and there were definitely bites that were missing it. However, for as little curry as there was, it was extremely strong on the palette and let you know that it was present. Hands down, this was our favorite dish of the night!
SPIRULINA SHOT CHALLENGE
You all seriously amaze me! Such warriors in green health who care less about taste and more about nutrition!
I LOVE seeing all your pics/videos!
How about a small twist on the challenge?
Find someone near to you-your boyfriend, girlfriend, sister, father, best friend, anyone- and get them to take a shot with you! At least once!
I find that when people know the reasons WHY they are doing something, they are much more open to it.
So tell them about spirulina. Tell them about it's benefits and about what you're trying to achieve by taking your spirulina shot.
And EVERYONE- lets post at least one picture or video to our page instead of our stories and use the hashtag #SpirulinaShotChallenge .
I want you ALL to see how big this community is getting.
We all know it tastes bad. We all know it smells bad. But we all know how truly powerful it is and in that alone we have support, encouragement, and love💚
It's truly beautiful!
And as a reminder, you can join the #SpirulinaShotChallenge at ANY time!

Both pigs and puppies seek comfort, social interaction, mental stimulation and a life without pain or suffering. Charley is gentle, inquisitive, and playful everyday. This is the life pigs will choose when given freedom, just like dogs and puppies will 🐷💜🐶
The first time I (remember) driving by a truck bound for slaughter was a year before I cut all animal products out of my life. I was on my way to visit my best friend and had to pull over because I was crying too hard to see/drive safely. I told her I got lost to explain my tardiness, not wanting to explain the encounter. I saw so many soft pink snouts peeking out of the tiny little windows trying to breathe in their last breaths (and most likely) first breaths of fresh air. I saw rumps squished out because they were so tightly packed. I thought about how scary it must be to not know where they are going and how much scarier it would be when they arrived. No taste in the world is worth imprisoning and slitting the throat of a live creature capable of love, fear, and feeling pain. Nothing can justify the mass murder of gentle beings for a plate of #bacon . Even if, and I say "if" full well knowing that it is scientifically proven we do not need meat to survive, if we did- wouldn't we, as caring/civilized beings with the capacity for logic then find a way to limit our consumption? Wouldn't we want to do everything possible to limit the amount of cruelty we "had" to do in order to survive? I know I would make sure to only eat the minimum amount needed for good health if that was the case. Thankfully it's not. Thankfully we don't "have" to participate to thrive. Thankfully it's even healthier for ourselves and the planet to leave these individuals off of our plates.
Some day future generations will say, in disbelief, "I can't believe they used to kill animals for pleasure." Which side of history will you be on?

Just a little #publicserviceannouncement 😈 & there's more where that came from! 🙊 💚 we are constantly bombarded with ads to consume animals, pictures that show their decaying body parts. It may not be much but maybe just maybe some of the countless people that will see this, multiple times a day, perhaps a tiny seed will be planted and the more we speak up the more that seed will grow! 🌱 I love these words by James Aspey: "The reason I took a vow of silence was to raise awareness for the voiceless victims of this planet – the animals. We all say we love animals and we all are against animal cruelty, but we pay people to mutilate, torture and slaughter animals and it’s not for any necessity, it’s not because we need to for our health. It’s just because we like the way they taste. So, I went voiceless because they’re voiceless – I thought – but then I realized, they’re not actually voiceless. They cry in pain, they scream in terror and when they do that, they’re using their voice to tell us they’re suffering. But the problem is, we’re not listening, because they have wings instead of arms, they have fur, they have scales. They’re a different species, so we don’t take their suffering seriously.” @jamesaspey
dinner was a bowl of thick homemade !!!butternut squash soup alongside a slice of wholemeal toast 😛 feeling so ill, almost had to come home from work early and I'm working tomorrow and sunday, worried I'm coming down with something 😓
Vegan Bornholm 🙌🏼 Just a few years ago finding vegan treats on Bornholm was nearly impossible.. But now it's super accessible and easy to find! I especially enjoyed the new, all vegan and organic ice cream shop @sikubornholm who has some amazing and unique flavours, like lavender, soy latte and my favourite: "rød grød uden fløde"🍦❣️#vegan#bornholm#vegandenmark#vegansk
I'm looking for some love and support from the awesome vegan community! I wrote a children's book that basically talks about all the different foods that vegan kids eat and how they don't have to feel different because of their lifestyle. I feel like my book will be great NOT only for vegan kids but also for their friends and relatives who may not understand the variety of food choices that vegans actually have. Vegan kids can eat burgers, pizza, tacos, cookies, candy, mac n cheese, etc. The only difference is the ingredients used in the food, it's that simple!✌🏻🌱💚 Right now the awesome and talented @kayleighcastle_illustrations is working on illustrating the book (among many other projects - this girl is suuuuper talented🙌🏻). In the meantime, I'm going to try my hardest to post daily about the different foods that vegan kids can eat! If you would like to follow the progress of the book and see daily posts of my adorable children eating vegan food - please, follow me! I'm so excited to see my story come to life and I hope some of you are too!📚 (pictured is a Scandinavian Swimmer gummy from @traderjoes because vegan kids can eat them - and my daughter wanted it in the picture😉)
This Friday we are posting a quote from one of the greatest minds who ever lived😀 The quote itself isn’t directly intended for veganism but actually fits the narrative perfectly🌱🌱🌱🌱 A lot of people decide to go vegan because of the exact same thing - they are tired of being a bystander 💚
