Over here riding the waves 🌊
If you are feeling like you could use a little extra support during these times know that there are so many people on this planet ready to lovingly hold space for your healing. Know you are so loved, no matter how you are feeling or who you are! You deserve to be seen, heard, and to be liberated from whatever you are ready to let go of, so that there's way more room to let in all that your soul is deeply longing for!
Sending love ❤️
~ Day 19 ~
Appreciating your body and what it can do is a big part of self love for me. We take these things for granted on a daily basis so today is about recognising what you have the ability to do because of your body 💜
Grounding and dropping in deep with the "Guardian of The Sacred White Bundle" before singing out my hearts prayers to the world. Thank you @lindykehoeart for channeling this incredible blessing for us through your hearts paintbrush. You are my true soul sister and words could never explain the gratitude I have for you in my life.
A Daily Practice:
Each day set aside a minimum of 5 minutes to sit in silence.
Clearing the mind of all thought.
There are many ways to commit to this practice.
Focus & concentrating on one particular object; being present, noticing every visible feature without creating a story is one way.
This activity allows your subconscious mind to create space, allowing for the monkey mind to disperse & for the voice of spirit to be heard.
SO ready for Friday and finished my practice with some press work, mainly pike, for the #fridaypresscrew ! 💪🏼💪🏼I was able to pike press multiple times today for the first time so sorry for the boring first slide. I still forget to breathe until about halfway up haha. 😯Next slides, I worked on some more presses and the negative since I kinda skipped Monday. I hope everyone has a fabulous Friday! 🎉🎉
DAY 4 of #YogiHowdYouDoThat2 is #TheSlightlyDifferentBumShot or #TittibhasanaC ??! 😆 Ok...thankful for the wall for this one Drea gave us when my feet were close together but my legs wouldn't straighten much. I prefer the legs wider apart!
Added bonus, it got me warmed up for my press practice! 👌🏼
Day 7 of #Yogis4Splits with #halfmoonpose or #sugarcanepose ! I added a little friday flow for this one in the second slide. My foot, ankle, and standing leg were burning by the time I finished practicing this awesome standing balance!

When I'm working in my regular size sketchbook with a thicker marker, I try to take no longer than 2 minutes to draw out a doodle quote.
When I work with a smaller pen, things take much longer...even in a smaller sketchbook. This one took about 25 minutes start to end, including recording myself drawing part of it and photographing it when finished. (Check out my stories.)
I consider it a doodle quote because I just pick up the pen and draw - no planning & absolutely NO pencil!
Drawing out this quote reminds me just how crazy the English language is! If distracted, I probably would have written "grateness" just like "grateful" 😂Sometime spelling just looks so weird when you really think about it!
SWG Nutrition has been working with this client 3 Months and she has experienced great results. SWG Nutrition Testimonial:
I've been working with SWG Nutrition and I'm so pleased! First, because I can eat! I was really skeptical that I could eat as much as my macros allowed and lose. But I lost 4 pounds and several inches in the first week and I am not hungry which is amazing! Second, my body composition is beginning to change. I'm no longer losing weight but losing inches! I'm gaining lean muscle mass which makes me look strong and healthy not "skinny fat." Third, I'm only working out 3 times a week and still seeing results. Before, I worked out 5-6 days a week because I thought that was the only way.
SWG Nutrition is thorough and knows their stuff! SWG Nutrition has really listened to me and is an encourager when I don't think I'm progressing as fast as I should. I am a believer! #nutrition#healthymama#fitness#weightlossjourney#tranformation#dailypractice#inspiration#goals#macros

My first "Cafe Friday" doodle quote! Fridays are my lightest day for live work, so I decided it's the perfect day to consistently spend some time working from a cafe or coffee shop.
So now that I've said that, I'll probably end up with a lot of live work on Fridays! No complaints - I'd love to come draw for you any day of the week 😊
Today I'm at @mykaffeehaus in San Mateo...a very cool place...I'll definitely be back! ☕️
Hey! I'm Niccole and I'm part squirrel! 🤣 I have this uncanny ability to zone out, and because of this I'm super particular about what I have in my spaces around me. If I'm going to "focus" on something I want it to be affirming and positive. One of my favorite possessions and quote is this pretty ugly wooden plaque (just being honest here 🤷🏻♀️) in my office. It was my Nana's and she had this gem on her kitchen window ledge for my entire childhood. When she passed, I asked for her Bible, her Bible stand and this little wooden plaque with the following saying:
I hope my children
look back on today
and see a mother
who had time to play.
There will be years
for cleaning and cooking
But children grow up
while we're not looking.
My goal driven personality, combined with my squirrely ways, sometimes distract me from the really important things in my life. Home educating my kids (a.k.a. being around them all day) can often lead me to overlooking the need to stop and j.u.s.t. play. I don't want to look back in 15 years and have a perfectly spotless house, a thriving business, beautiful things and realize that I didn't enjoy my children. #amIright ???
This whole #chasingmindfulness thing is doing wonderful things for my soul and my life! Anyone else following the challenge? What are you learning?
Steady with my daily yoga practice. 10:30AM class with Karen Shideler @iadoreyoga at @yoga108studio in Long Beach. Awesome class! Karen is the deceiver. She fools you into thinking it's going to be an "easy" flow type class but half way I'm you realize you are getting your ass kicked 😂. Breathe just breathe. Lots of moving and flow. Really loved it. Now some rest and planning on an early evening run before work. Peace, Love and go hug a tree.
Man how I love this oil!
I am a light sleeper and tend to spend most of my night tossing and turning. But after using this oil aromatically and topically, I feel so relaxed/calm that I drift right off to 😴sleep!
Gotta love them oils!

Real talk: So I took a loooong break from Instagram. I found that I was putting myself under a lot of pressure in a lot of areas of my life. Pressure to post and interact, pressure to get my blog up and going, pressure to stay active and take care of my dog who went blind and make time for my friends and answer texts from my boss on the weekend and drink more coffee to keep up with it all and and and and... It all piled up to the point where I couldn't leave the house because my anxiety was so bad.
I've started getting up in the morning the Kundalini way: stretches in bed followed by a cold shower and a personal sadhana (currently doing the 40 day Gobinday Mukunday global sadhana with @spiritvoyage). I'm following it up with journaling, sourcing (technique via #lightisthenewblack by @rebeccathoughts) and then a leisurely breakfast before heading out the door. I don't have happiness figured out and daily practice is not a magic bandaid, but it does put me in a positive and constructive state of mind to face any challenges that come up.
Do you have any special morning routines? I'd love to hear! 📷 @the.path

I'm so proud of my dear friends @jesseisrael and @laurenbille for raising the bar bringing meditation to the masses like they do. If you are in the city you have to come to this thing. It's going to be typically awesome. Ticket link in my bio. 😘⚡️

Excited to bring more yoga back into my life! When I decided to go back to school in January I found myself choosing to no longer teach to free up time for my own practice and school. During that time off I decided to train for a half marathon (ended up injuring myself two weeks before race day so I never actually ran it) which made me feel really disconnected from the yoga world. I found myself practicing less and less as I increased mileage and using yoga less as a way to recharge and strengthen and more as a way to stretch after my runs. Between my commute, work, school, and running I no longer craved time on my mat and felt almost as if I was forcing it every time I practiced. Now that I no longer am committed to the half marathon, my injury has healed, and I've moved to reduce my commute drastically I've found myself slowly going back to my practice with a new mind set and attitude. With that I've decided to teach again and am hoping to get back to practicing on a daily basis. To kick off this fresh start and reconnection I've decided to join the #flowtowheelpose challenge. Thanks to hosts @nasiebella @pigeatsfish @sarahuactive @itsmyyoga @anissalinks @sarahticha and sponsors @tinyskinscribbles @anapoenergy @khromaherbs @focusactive @niyama_sports for motivating me to get back on my mat #everydamnday ✨
Now that I've gotten to fully digest the current events in my life I'm feeling like I can take whatever life brings. You've probably heard a yoga teacher say, "how you do one thing is how you do everything." In my experience that statement is true. If you get on your mat and force yourself to hold a pose when you can't breathe, push yourself too far and try to grit your teeth to get thorough it, you often do the exact same thing in life when things become tough. The result in either case is burnout. Watching others and experiencing my own handstand practice has taught me a lot about this idea. In life when things get tough, I like to try to control, get frustrated, tense up, constrict my breath and force myself through it. In my practice, when I do those same things I can barely hold a Warrior 2 let alone handstand and my practice leaves me feeling burnt out instead of refreshed. Teaching and practicing handstands has taught me, more than anything, when to back off, rest and step away. In fact, Lately I have been talking to students a lot about how I often "got" something I was working on after taking a break from working on it. I would literally stop working on it for a few weeks to months and proceed to nail it as soon as I came back to it. Life and yoga are all about finding balance. So I know that I can continue to be strong and face whatever life sends my way as long as I remember to balance perseverance with self-care. I know that when I get frustrated, try to force things, tense up and my breath gets short or stops; it's time for a break. I know that as long as I practice self-care I can continue to be the warrior I am. What has yoga taught you about yourself?! Here's #handstandpress to boat pose for inspiration because I was feeling strong today! .
