I'm hoping Ali is saying "Are you having yours with-a-spoon??" Still one of my favourite Boxing jokes as a 10 years old when he came over to England to defend his WBA Title against Big Frank Bruno at Wembley "How is Tim going to beat Bruno??"..."I dunno how is he going to beat him?"..."Witherspoon!" 😂😂 Terrible Tim, or Spoon as he was affectionately known started out by making me cry as a 10 year old by stopping Frank in '86, then I was kinda happy when Bonecrusher Smith surprisingly blitzed him in 1 round 😁 but then I grew to appreciate him a lot more as time went on and realised that even though he never quite looked in the best of shape he was actually very very talented as a boxer with an at times booming overhand right as I understood more about him I went back and watched the Holmes fight and realised the same Tim Witherspoon who dashed British hopes in '86 had I think had his own hopes dashed by the judges against Larry Holmes - I think clearly beating Holmes - in only his 16th fight!?!? An old head on young shoulders for sure to do that, and no respector of reputations - and man was he in better shape for the Holmes fight!? If he'd have stayed in shape for his career I think he may have owned that belt a lot longer than he did.

Heavy bags, weights, speed bag and the good 'ol stars & stripes. Felt patriotic tonight for boxing..but still can't have a normal face when I selfie apparently. Don't forget to be kind to all because we are all American and we are all family. ♥️✌🏽✌🏿✌🏾✌🏼✌🏻♥️ #america#boxing#kindness#workout#peace
I used to hate shadow boxing. You didn't hit anything and I felt self conscious and embarrassed wondering if I was even doing it properly. I would spend countless rounds in training shadow boxing. It felt like a waste of time. I would always start with skipping and then shadow boxing then pads and bag work depending on what I was training for. But sure enough one day I was connecting better with my punches. Moving more effortlessly from defence to attack. My knees would land or miss and I still felt balanced. I struck the pads better and felt less uncoordinated. That's when the penny dropped for me how important shadow boxing is. Slow or fast but with proper technique, shadowing can help you with your transitions from one technique to the next, defence to attack and back again. #boxing#shadowboxing#warmup#coachroldan#catalystwellbeing#eddineacademy#jinwukoon
