The new Craft Beer batches are out at UB City - both at Farzi Cafe and the newly opened BBQ'D (formerly Made In Punjab). BBQ'D is all about live cooking stations, churassco styled open grills, world cuisine such as pizzas and momos and dessert - essentially a smogasbord when it comes to food and Craft beer pairing choices. .
4 Craft Beers on tap. It's been exactly a month since we've had Craft Beer on tap at UB City. .
Hefeweizen - the new batches have more pronounced banana and clove notes and more body and a richer color. .
Masala Saison - stays the same - plenty of cloves on the nose and pepper in the finish. Wheat based, fruity, spicy and medium bodied. .
Chocolate Stout - new batches have even more added cocoa making this more chocolate rather than coffee forward on the nose and palate. The body has been enhanced, as well. If you don't like Stouts, this may very well change all of that. .
IPA - revised grain bill with completely new hops this time around. A mix of American hops and C Hops used in both bittering and dry hopping gives you lots of citrus notes on the nose. On the palate more balanced in terms of bitterness vs maltiness resulting in a shorter bitter finish. That simply means it's not as. Utter as before and very sessionable. If you're not into bitter beers, try this for a change. You may just become an IPA fan.
