starting to feel like my normal self again after 3 weeks of dealing with back injuries and sickness 🙌🏼
I've been able to work out everyday this week and I've been hitting my macros everyday too. 💪🏼 Life happens sometimes and it's normal to get into a slump. Whether it's 3 days, 3 weeks, or even 3 months... tomorrow is always a new day for a fresh start. You're just one work out away from feeling good. 😊
Did 5 miles on the treadmill today and though I usually hate cardio, it was good for the soul. 😇 happy Thursday! the weekend is near! 👏🏼

I love Venice! 🇮🇹 it's just of those places I believe you have to see if you travel to Italy. There is nowhere like it and for the time you are there you feel like you are somewhere else 🙌🏼 Today we walked all over Venice and stopped at different places for lunch, coffee, gelato/fresh juice. Although we walked so much, we still didn't see it all and it was our second time back! Honestly I think I could quite easily adjust to life over in Europe 😂 I can't even tell you the amount of times people thought I was a local, especially when I started with a greeting in Italian (or Greek when I was there). .
Tonight is the second last night of our holiday and I'd be lying if I said I was ready to go home. I know sometimes after a long holiday people feel they are "ready" to come home and be in their familiar environment, own bed, and to see family/friends. Sadly as much as I do enjoy my life in Australia I am in no mindset to leave. I know that hard times are coming my way.... I guess I'll have to approach it like I do everything in life ♡ one step at a time ♡

So, again, I am left a sweaty mess. My hair is sweaty, hell there's even sweat in my eyes 😷
But... I feel awesome! These circuits are SO challenging and it's great to see that even girls who've done 3 or 4 rounds are still knackered at the end! It is an addictive feeling completing each one 😊😊💪🏻
I can't use a skipping rope as I'm in my garage, so I did some high knees instead.
Oooh and, I did a 50 minute LISS walk with my doggy too!

Finally hopping on here to introduce myself! My name is Maritza and I'm a 20 year old college student from Texas (English major whoo!). My whole life I've always been into sports and active, in high school I powerlifted and played volleyball! However after high school my body changed and even though I was still running or hitting the gym, nothing seemed to be changing. This isn't the first time I've decided to try @kayla_itsines program, I started and quit maybe 3 other times always using school or no time as an excuse to not continue. I created this account to hold myself accountable and to push through and finally finish! So far I'm on week 3 and determined to finish. Waking up this morning to the sound of a thunderstorm outside I immediately hit snooze on my alarm with the intention of going back to sleep and skipping today's run (I mean you can't run outside when it's raining right? 😏).
Normally Ness wouldn't have given it a second thought. I would have put Bronte under the covers (the only way I can get the pup to go back to sleep) and off to dreamland we go. 😴😴
Today was different, today as I laid in bed my brain decided to come up with a million different ways I could exercise inside. Low and behold within 5 mins I was up and putting my gym clothes on. 🏋️♀️💪😜
After 45 min I had put myself through a sweaty total body work out. 👊 It's amazing that within 3 weeks of jumping on the #bbg train I can see my mindset changing for the better.
Today was a HUGE win for me and really showed me that motivation is a SKILL it can be learned and practiced.
HERES MY JAZZY TAKEAWAY THAI DINNER! 🍴 I'm doing this new thing where I try something new at least once a week, instead of eating pizza or fish and chips as a default treat takeaway (although I love both of those)... Killed the gym yesterday and today 👊
Today I had a workout partner @ash.eisen 🤗 forgot how much fun it is to workout with somebody! We did glutes and died at the 8 sets of 20 jump lunges and 20 x-jumps 💀 with 15 second rest in between which is basically 2 seconds 😂
Arm day this morning!! It was inside and with a lot of modifications at my knee is STILL playing up! Got a massage though so hopefully it eases up soon 🤞🏻 (it's gonna be a fun plane ride 🤦🏼♀️) .

I always used to start being "healthy" on a Monday, and if at any time during that week i messed up (even if it was the next day or even on the same day) I would then promise to start back up again the next Monday. Meaning for almost a whole week, i would go back to making bad choices with food and not bother to exercise. This got me nowhere and i would always fail miserably at trying to lead a healthy lifestyle.
Now if i have a bad day, i get over it and then restart again the very next day. Life sometimes happens, but don't wait for a certain day to roll round again to correct any mistakes and start afresh. Do it as soon as you can. Every day is a fresh start. Hope you all make today a great one 💕
Snapped a progress pic for upper body after finishing 75% of BBG2.0 week 13 arms. Never thought I would be modifying my push-ups again but I was back on my knees after wearing myself out on the first circuit. Still got my sweat on and I am ok with easing back into these workouts. It's been over 6 weeks since I worked on my arms or abs. So not only was today tough but Friday's ab workout is going to be brutal as well. Hello all of my #bbgbabes ! I've been MIA the last few weeks. At first I let the stress from changing work roles overwhelm me, and then I realized I just needed a break 😩 I've spent the better part of the last few years obsessing over my weight, feeling guilty when I didn't stick to plans, and especially the past year, tracking EVERYTHING. Now that I've actually made some amazing progress, I needed some time to get comfortable in my new skin. I worked out when I felt like it, ate what I wanted, drank probably a bit too much and stopped weighing myself. I'm happy to report that I'm still at the same weight from when I finished #whole30 two months ago and feeling much better in my body and my mind. Bringing it back to basics with #bbg1 and I'm excited to see what I can do this time!
