Monday Week 3 of #bbgmashup done (which is week 2 of BBG1) boy is BBG 1 so much harder than 2!!! I couldn't do continuous lunge jumps on the first round, however I did find the reverse lunge and knee lift easier than before which I'm guessing is because bbg2 has built my leg strength. I love seeing how my body adapts to different exercises. Our bodies are truly amazing. I remember being totally amazed and grateful when my body adapted for marathon training and took on all those miles and now I'm amazed how it adapts over the weeks for different resistant workouts. Literally just got back to Charlotte, stepped out of the car after 7 hours and snapped a pic. I'm honestly shprised that I don't feel like a whale after working out once in the last 2 weeks and eating whatever I wanted. I'm definitely happy to be back and can't wait to get back to my routine here, though I wish I could have stayed at the beach forever lol. Happy Sunday babes!

This is me after seven weeks at camp- no frills, no fancy lighting (clearly🙄), nothing-- kind of scary to put this out there. Over these past seven weeks, I have learned a lot about myself- I was surrounded by my best friends in the world, I didn't have access to technology, and I was constantly being uplifted by those around me. So yeah, camp is pretty freakin' awesome✌🏻🙌🏻
Because of all of that, my priorities were different- and that's okay! Life happens, and there's no use stopping EVERYTHING just to have abs🙅🏽 Being around the best people I know for seven weeks without the pressure of social media or anything has truly opened my eyes-- it has shown me what matters to me, and what doesn't.
With ALL that being said, I want to take care of my body first and foremost- being at camp, I did not always have this as a priority (in terms of eating + exercise) but now, being back home, I can make it one🙌🏻 As far as that goes, I am going to track macros-- KIND OF. I'm not going to track things like lettuce🥙, or a SPLASH of almond milk-- (because who wants to live life tracking LETTUCE?!🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️) I'm going to finish Kayla Itsine's BBG guide (for the second time), and then see from there. I'm doing this all because I LOVE my body and want to treat it well-- of course, there are goals I have for my body (aesthetically speaking)- but those come second. Taking care of myself and my body is my #1 priority🙌🏻✌🏻😝
Me 》 Counting my blessings ❤ Couldn't be more happy about my life right now! We have this beautiful little girl with us who we love in words not to describe... A whole new level of "loving" has come into our lives. Can't say it's always easy, but it's definetely all worth it!
I have the best man in the whole world who supports me, takes care of us and loves us unconditionally. Who encourages me to be the best mom, but also encourages me to be myself, a friend, a lover, a sister & so on. He tells me to make time for myself & makes it possible!
Which brings me to my friends. I have the best friends around me! Some close, some on the other side of the world 😙 They make bad days better, good days unforgettable & they make some days even possible 😊 One of those really good days was this weekend at dutchvalley festival 💃
And then there is my family. My brothers and sister. My parents. Who I can laugh with, cry with, talk with, share with... Especially my little sister (who is also a mommy) and I feel this special and really strong bond with ❤
Last but not least, something which makes me happy today is my body! The body which did the amazing thing of making and carrying Jasmine for 9 months. The body which recovered really fast after delivery. The body which is healthy enough to do the things I love, with the people I love. Count your blessings, there are many! ❤
Yay got all my exercise goals that I set out to do done this week!! I may have had to do another double session today but glad I got it done. I must say though rookie mistake doing legs again the following day after legs yesterday 😂 was dying. So today's workout I did BBG Week 17 legs ➕ BBG Week 17 abs. My goal next week is to get my time management better so I'm not cramming in sessions or doing a double together. See how I go.... 🖤 hope you all had a wonderful week. Xx
