"There IS life after Ballet" Exhibiting the sweet spot between the spectrums of strength + femininity @cindyjourdain X @rahuljhangiani
I have the great pleasure of knowing this beautiful woman for about a year now. We've had so many of those grand + existential life chats, listening to each other ask ourselves the questions "who am I now?" Pondering where to go from here after all we've learned and accomplished and how. Doubting ourselves, but always believing in each other + reminding each of the infinite potential within, helping to find and ignite our fires all the while remaining soft + forgiving. Reminding each other to focus on the dream and forget the fears. Friendship like this is so necessary in a world like ours. She is the pinnacle of integrity and an example to us all to keep pushing + playing + tuning in to be who we really are in each moment, because who we are is a changing constant. I'm inspired just to know her.

What I see is NOT what I am, what I feel is NOT who I am, mirror images are fragments of us, an expression, a creation, a work in progress that can continue to exist or be undone in an instant. When you create remind yourself not to hold on to a moment, live it instead and take it forward with you as something beautiful and pure is banned to emerge - Another one from our very special serie 'Life after Ballet' w/ @rahuljhangiani @inherchair @demebygabriella ✨#cindysbootcamp#performer#performing#choreographer#dancer#ballet#contemporarydance#artist#lifeafterballet#india#transition#entrepreneur#businesswoman#fitness#training#studio#conditioning#strength#bodyweight#flexibility#mobility#ballet#yoga#lifestyle#movement#spiral#flow#create#healthy#positive
The wonderfully talented , beautiful ballet dancer, Moira Shearer.
Moira Shearer, Lady Kennedy (17 January 1926 – 31 January 2006), was an internationally renowned British ballet dancer and actress.
She came to international attention for her first film role as Victoria Page in the Powell & Pressburger ballet-themed film The Red Shoes, (1948). Even her hair matched the titular footwear, and the role and film were so powerful that although she went on to star in other films and worked as a dancer for many decades, she is primarily known for playing "Vicky". Shearer retired from ballet in 1953, but she continued to act, appearing as Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream at the 1954 Edinburgh Festival. She worked again for Powell on The Tales of Hoffmann and on the controversial film Peeping Tom (1960), which damaged Powell's own career

It was a good (busy) day! Peyton had a ballet camp recital (she was one of many cinderellas), Dax turned 6 months old (where has my baby gone?), Dax ate some rice cereal for the first time, and Mark and I (and Dax) went on a date night to watch a Tiger Cats game. #ballet#peytonjoylodder#6months#daxisaiah#firstfood#datenight
