At 4 feet tall this antique Spanish wood and bone Madonna is pretty breathtaking. She came from a Church in Spain and has heavy brocade vestments. Her Queen of Heaven crown is interchangeable and removable.
Just read a piece on @lovindublin about my hood; Portobello. The "best place to live in Dublin", apparently, thanks to its eclectic selection of eateries, cute canal walks and random AF antique shops. I have to say, it's pretty much why I love it so much too. Genuinely, if I won the lottery/ magically got mortgage approval, I'd very happily buy a house in the morning and live around here forever. That's not something I say lightly either- forever's a long time. But I'd totally do it. 🦆
A treasured photo I ran across this morning of my grandmother, Eunice standing by her beloved spinning wheel. It sat on her front porch as I recall. You can imagine the shock involved when we went to visit her one weekend and she'd spray painted it bright turquoise, along with numerous other porch objects! 😂😂😂😂 I'd also like to note I'm very fortunate to have inherited this side of the family's svelte body type!!!😂😂😂😂😂 I loved this Ma of mine so much! #grandmom#ma#spinningwheel#vintagephoto#antiquephoto#familyphotos#antiques
Some of the most beautiful pieces are deceptively simple. This elegant golden bangle is the most elemental of bracelets: a circle of 14k gold, engraved with feathery designs and enigmatic initials. But look again! Whoever B.H.B was, they must have treasured such a timeless keepsake. A circle has no beginning or end; just an endless ray of sunlight around your wrist. For a chic classic that stands the test of time, it's a must-have!
