Happy Friday!! I've been in the kitchen all day cooking for clients and prepping for a birthday party I'm catering tomorrow!! Fun!!! Finally time that I fed myself. Lunch (well, brunch) is a yummy salad with marinated tofu. Simple.
#repost @wes_omar So, for everyone that has been asking how the little guy is that was once enslaved on a concentration camp, covered in his own faeces in sweltering conditions and could barely move around with only months left until he'd be murdered... here he is, happy, healthy and loving life! This is why we speak up for the defenceless individuals, because they're not a commodity but a living sentient being, a someone that is innocent and vulnerable that if they could speak in English, they would plead to you for you not to take their life and maybe just then you'd understand what their screams and cries mean. Is their pain and suffering really worth eating, especially when it's having such an unhealthy effect on your body? Don't support and contribute to the violence and murder. We can not achieve a peaceful world when humanity is destroying innocence for their own greed. I thank everyone for your support as the animals need it, we need to get our message across to the masses of people, that these individuals deserve a life free from cruelty and murder, we live in a wealthy society with an abundance of food, which veganism is clearly a healthier option for our bodies and the environment, there is no excuses. Please let your voices be heard for the innocent as that is their only hope, people are naturally compassionate that have unfortunately been conditioned from a young age and have become speciesist, they just have to see things from a new perspective which will benefit all. I'm now under investigation by the police for apparently saving a life, advocating equality and working towards a brighter and cleaner future. Be Vegan 💚
We've been working on a lot of animal abuse cases at the moment, playing on my mind.. It's difficult sometimes being awake to the suffering that happens, it can hit you hard at any moment, sudden realization beings out there are being tortured RIGHT NOW. I remember in my early stages of going #vegan I was out clubbing with my friends & suddenly had the thought of fox cubs being taken from their mums and immediately felt like i needed to go out there & do something. I started crying uncontrollably & my friends who weren't vegan had no idea what to say or do to console me. I'm sure this has happened to others and it's pretty awkward isn't it? Cause they don't really understand your frustration no matter what they say, you know that they themselves are contributing to it. Nothing they say will make you feel better. These images & thoughts often come to mind when I'm alone having a particularly challenging day. Even the thought of it is hard to deal with, that feeling is so uncomfortable to stay with. It can often make me feel guilty for enjoying myself -like why do I deserve to be happy while other beings are miserable? But then i remind myself that i am trying to help alleviate suffering with my activism work & i AM changing things! And I think that is the absolute best advice I could give to any person who has seen suffering & feels hopeless at any moment. Doing something about that suffering & becoming active in speaking out for change is the best thing that you can do. For others, for yourself and for the world! I wouldn't rather be spending my time on anything else. When I think about the pointless shit I used to spend my time on before I realised my true mission in life, you would laugh, I was not the person I am today, believe me! So yes, using all of that frustration and sadness & turning it into something powerful is beautiful & is definitely the way forward in this. Turning hatred into love & empowering yourself at the same time! That's my advice. No more sitting around feeling hopeless. No more giving into those fears. Lovingly confront the fear & darkness with your love & light. ✊💞🙏 Pictured: me holding a sign at a protest against dog racing/betting.
Day 11 of #gratitudeisgrowth ...today I'm grateful for transformation and change. Thinking about transformation all day long with an image in my mind planted by my sister of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly and this month is so focused on transformation and change, I'm really starting to feel it. Then just now after having a really long conversation with people trying to get them to give up a dog that they are mistreating, and feeling a little bit stuck, I get tagged in this post by @missrosa94 telling her story of how she became vegan. And now I'm thinking about how anything is possible and obviously I would never give up on any animal being mistreated and am going to do everything I can to change this situation, but believing is a big part of that. Believing that we have the power to change and that we really CAN do anything, and with love on our side we are such a force! So many things in my life seemed impossible until one day they weren't anymore, sometimes we have to face our fears and struggles head on with courage and determination, faith and most importantly, love. Love for ourselves and for all beings. So I'm grateful today for my own personal transformation, for this lovely story of transformation right here giving me hope & inspiration, for all the change that has happened and will continue to happen in order to make this world a better place for everyone. Because we have a lot to change in this world, don't we? But first, we better really believe that we can! Thank you transformation and change 🙌💞 & happy #veganniversary girl 🌱✊
In yoga we learn to be mindful of our thoughts, our words and our actions. Our actions (or inactions) are obvious and our words (or silence) are evident but we need to realize that our thoughts have the same power. Treat each other with kindness, speak kindly to/of others, think with kindness and compassion about others. We are a product of our environment, our upbringing and our conditioning. Never lower your own vibration no matter how frustrated you may get. Honor others as you honor yourself. #namaste#tolerance#understanding#respect#compassion#charlottesville#nonviolence#ahimsa#truthfulness#satya#virginiarosenberg

It was such an honor to have been selected to be part of The Message Canvas Bible Tour. People across North America and South America were chosen to keep this bible for a few days, journal in it and color some pages and then send it on to the next person.
Today I am sending it on to the next person in Elm City, NC.
If you have ever wanted to read the Bible but have found it difficult to follow then The Message Bible is for you. It is the Bible in today's language where it reads like a great novel. "Paths are many, Truth is one"
You are here to be light, bringing out the God colors in the world. ~Matthew 5 ““Doesn’t the bible say “blessed are the pure in the heart, so they shall see God?” when? Only when there is purity in the heart; a heart peaceful and free from egoism–the “I” and the “mine.” Purity of heart and equanimity of mind are the very essence of Yoga.” ~Swami Satchidananda.

Before you know what kindness really is
you must lose things,
feel the future dissolve in a moment
like salt in a weakened broth.
What you held in your hand,
what you counted and carefully saved,
all this must go so you know
how desolate the landscape can be
between the regions of kindness.
How you ride and ride
thinking the bus will never stop,
the passengers eating maize and chicken
will stare out the window forever.
Before you learn the tender gravity of kindness,
you must travel where the Indian in a white poncho
lies dead by the side of the road.
You must see how this could be you,
how he too was someone
who journeyed through the night with plans
and the simple breath that kept him alive.
Before you know kindness as the deepest thing
you must know sorrow as the other deepest thing.
You must wake up with sorrow.
You must speak to it till your voice
catches the thread of all sorrows
and you see the size of the cloth.
Then it is only kindness that makes sense anymore,
only kindness that ties your shoes
and sends you out into the day to mail letters and
only kindness that raises its head
from the crowd of the world to say
It is I you have been looking for,
and then goes with you everywhere
like a shadow or a friend.

Daily handstand journey. 8 months into seriously practicing inversions.... hmmm removing the obstacle of the fear of falling/ failing is a continuous practice. Consciously putting an end to letting fear stand in the way and trusting in the universe and in myself. Let's help each other out! Be the candle that lights the others, happiness never decreases from being shared. #handstand#progress#ahimsa#naturesway#naturalmedicine#redroad#trust#letgo
15 min a day with my #arthritisdoggie & #furbaby are paying off. I cannot exercise like most folks due to several #autoimmune diseases, one of which is #fibromyalgia . Though it's hard to have these #health issues they have been teaching me to take one day, no - one moment at a time. I'm learning to compare myself to me and not to others. I'm learning what is healthy for me doesn't look the same as for others. I'm learning what the #yoga practice of do no harm means & how it applies to me. I have tough challenges and tough choices right now. But I know I'm learning invaluable #selfcare practices that will help me better take care of me as I need it. Ya know what? That's not #selfish either - it's vital.

Early this morning, still dark out as I headed out to my 6 AM class, I looked down at my phone to turn on some inspiration. When I glanced up there was a bunny in the middle of the road. I think I missed him but immediately I thought of ahimsa, the yogic principle of non violence towards all living things. Picking up my phone - any time, for any reason - while driving is a potential act of violence toward life. It is going to be a hard habit to break. But I'm committed to try. #learning#yoga#ahimsa#nonviolence#respect#live#liveauthentic#text#notetoself#bethechangeyouwanttosee#buddha @playcarlsbad @reform.studios #loveinaction
Okay so Mr.Satan has something to say to us.. 😅🌿🍃🐮🍗
I think he even got a point or two over there.. 👇😾🙊😰😜😩👇

So guys, this is a shy plant, it folds up when it is touched or feels threatened as a defense mechanism.
So, here's my question to Vegans. How can you justify eating plants knowing they are alive?
Why do you think.. it's okay to eat one living thing and then harass everyone else about eating another living thing.
This plant is clearly scared for its life and you savage vegans just eat plants up like there's no tomorrow. You cry about cows and pigs & call meat eaters hypocrites for loving pet dogs and cats, but what about the BILLIONS of spiders, insects, reptiles and mice that die in wheat & grain fields everyday.
1 cow dies and feeds 1000 people.
Number for number, vegans are responsible for the death of more lives than carnivores, they just don't acknowledge the lives of plants and insects because it doesn't fit their agenda.
So please, think of the countless insects and plants that die every day because of vegans, if you eat meat you could save so many of these lives and it's less lives taken per people fed.
Eating meat is far more ethical when you look at the amount of lives lost. I've been waking up every day blissfully, because I finally am in love with my life again. And then, like a rush of blood to the head I recall the hatred, bigotry, and violence that is showing it's face in our country. I immediately grab my device, plug in, and scan the waves to make sure nothing CRAZY has happened in the six or seven so hours in which I've been disconnected. That is not how we should be feeling. Not in this country, not in this time, not after centuries of advancing as humankind. I've never had to live in fear because of my race, religion, sex, or creed and I think sometimes I've overlooked that advantage. And suddenly there is a layer of concern, for me personally a bit, but moreover for humanity.
I feel like we all need to read the Ted Pledge again. Always remember to love.
I'm posting this morning's #rvbathroomselfie to tell you guys that I love each and every one of you. ❤️
With the recent heartbreaks highlighted in the news, it's easy for me to get overwhelmed thinking about all of the evil things that can arise in this world. 💔
It's only fitting that I'm listening to 'The Book of Joy' on Audible right now. Many of the conversations between the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu is about the suffering in this world and how to keep hope and joy alive, despite the heartbreak we see. And how the good in the world can prevail. ❤️
It's an amazing book. I'll link it in my bio for anyone that wants to jump in asap. Again, I just wanted to send you guys some genuine love and kindness today. Do your best to pay it forward to someone who might need it this weekend. ❤️❤️
